As children reach their teenage years, parents should work with them on maturity level development. Discuss the value of remaining calm in various stressful situations. Encourage communication via the expression of their emotions regarding sensitive topics in a calm manner without frustration. Many cases of Inattentive Attention Deficit Disorder in adolescent females involve a lack of emotion as well as responsiveness. Experienced psychotherapists can help a parent and teenager reach a happy medium and keep communication lines open. Communication with your child is essential during the process of reversing childhood behavioral symptoms.
